Are you looking for a fun and practical way to use up your leftover yarn scraps? Look no further! I created a striped sweater for my daughter and ended up with an abundance of leftover yarn. When a friend gifted me even more yarn scraps, I was inspired to tackle a big stash-buster project that would be both useful and enjoyable. The result is this delightful big project bag! This stylish bag not only offers plenty of space to accommodate your largest knitting projects, but it’s also decorative enough to be displayed on your sofa during those long crafting sessions. With its felted design, the bag is sturdy enough to stand on its own while showcasing beautiful, subtle color variations. This pattern works beautifully with just about any color combination and allows you to personalize the stripe sections to match your own yarn stash perfectly.

Pattern includes detailed lining instructions too!

Size: The felted dimensions of the bag are 22 cm (8¾ inches) deep, 30 cm (11¾ inches) wide, and 22 cm (8¾ inches) high. Before felting, the measurements are 23 cm (9 inches) deep, 31 cm (12¼ inches) wide, and 29 cm (11½ inches) high.

Difficulty Level and Skills Needed: This pattern is suitable for beginners, as it primarily consists of basic knit and purl stitches. However, you will need to be familiar with a few more advanced cast-on techniques. If you prefer a fully lined bag, some basic sewing skills are also required to complete the project successfully. Whether you are a beginner or looking to refine your knitting and sewing skills, this project bag is the perfect addition to your crafting repertoire!
