Introducing Changeover: A Unique Unisex Neck Wrap Pattern

Changeover is the very first pattern in my highly anticipated 4-pattern ebook, set to launch in the Fall of 2015. This versatile unisex neck wrap pattern is crafted to be symmetrical at the outset, seamlessly transitioning to an eye-catching asymmetrical design. Utilizing a straightforward garter stitch worked on the bias, Changeover beautifully showcases shifts in stripes, colors, triangles, techniques, shapes, and sizes – resulting in an incredible two-in-one design with both symmetrical and asymmetrical versions/triangles!

You have the flexibility to either follow my pattern as written or unleash your creativity! You can knit it without striping, modify the striping sequence, or adjust the total stitch count. Opt to finish with the first half for a classic symmetrical look, or continue to the second half for a striking asymmetrical finish.

Changeover is best suited for fingering weight yarns. For the symmetrical version, you can choose solid colors, variegated yarns, or even a self-striping yarn; pairing companion yarns or contrasting colors will elevate your project even further. When venturing into the asymmetrical version, a solid color is essential, which can be beautifully complemented with a contrasting color or a variegated yarn for the striped symmetrical triangle of the scarf.

As a helpful tip regarding yarn selection, I have successfully used two strands of lace weight yarn held together in one color, alternating with a single strand of light fingering weight yarn. This combination results in a luxurious texture and stunning visual appeal.

Yarn Requirements

For the Changeover pattern, you will need the following yarn amounts:

• Lace weight yarn: Approximately 850 yards (16 WPI)
• Light fingering weight yarn: Approximately 280 yards (20 WPI)
