Gauge Information: Achieving the correct gauge is crucial for ensuring your finished knitting project looks and fits as intended. For this pattern, you’ll need to obtain a gauge of 19½ stitches and 26 rounds per 4 inches (10 cm) in Stockinette stitch when using the larger needle. Additionally, if you choose to incorporate Garter stitch, your gauge should be 19½ stitches and 36 rounds per 4 inches (10 cm) using the smaller needle. The 12-stitch cable from the Cable Panel is designed to measure approximately 1½ inches (4 cm) wide when knitted with the larger needle. To save time and to ensure accurate sizing, we strongly encourage you to check your gauge before starting. Adjusting your needle size can help you achieve the correct gauge if necessary. Accurate gauge not only contributes to the aesthetic quality of your knit but also affects the overall fit of your finished piece. By taking the time to check and adjust your gauge, you’ll enjoy a more successful and satisfying knitting experience!
