Shawlette Knitting Pattern
Create a stunning Shawlette with approximately 400 yards of fingering weight yarn! This beautiful shawl, as showcased in the images, was crafted using a single 120-gram, 390-yard skein of Madelinetosh Tosh Sock yarn, leaving you with around 18 grams of leftover yarn for any additional projects. The unblocked dimensions of the shawlette measure about 40” across the top and 20” down the center back. After blocking, it expands to an impressive 60” across and 28” down the center back. Please note that these measurements are approximate and can vary based on your blocking technique and personal preferences.

Stole Knitting Pattern
For those looking to create a more expansive project, try the stunning Stole pattern, which requires approximately 800 yards of fingering weight yarn. The shawl featured in the images was knitted using two 120-gram skeins of 390-yard Madelinetosh Tosh Sock, with only 14 grams remaining after completion. The unblocked stole measures an elegant 22” in width and 50” in length. Once blocked, its dimensions expand to 26” in width and a luxurious 66” in length. As with the shawlette, these measurements are approximate and can differ depending on how you choose to block your piece for the desired drape and style.

Important Errata Update (5/11/11): An error was identified in the pattern's instructions. If you are knitting the Stole, please omit the last sentence of the first paragraph on page 5, which begins with "W." Thank you to the dedicated knitter for bringing this to my attention!

Both the Shawlette and Stole patterns are perfect for intermediate knitters looking to enhance their skills while creating beautiful accessories that are perfect for any occasion. Enjoy the rewarding process of knitting and blocking your own stunning pieces, and don’t forget to share your creations with the knitting community!
