Last year, I became captivated by a stunning circular lace stitch pattern that I swatched for a pair of knee-high socks. Despite my initial enthusiasm, working with it in the round while incorporating calf shaping proved to be quite a challenge. After that experience, I decided to give this beautiful pattern a second chance, this time using it on a flat piece to simplify the process and bring out its true elegance.

I’m thrilled to share that the circles of this circular lace stitch behaved beautifully and produced a stunning effect! However, it’s important to stay focused while knitting this intricate pattern. I’ve noticed at least one row of ovals among my circles, a small mistake where I accidentally repeated a row. This sample shawl has certainly seen its fair share of adventures, including a mishap involving a full glass of red wine accidentally spilled on it. But even with its imperfections, this piece is not only gorgeous but also brimming with character and life!
