**Vanilla Socks Knitting Pattern: A Step-by-Step Guide**
**INTRODUCTION**: Dive into the world of knitting with my favorite pair of vanilla socks, perfect for any occasion. After sharing photos of my cozy socks on Instagram, many of my followers requested the details on how I craft them. Here’s your chance to learn how to knit these delightful socks! This pattern is designed for knitting in the round, crafted toe-up, and features a gusset and heel extension using the short row technique. While the instructions are tailored for the Magic Loop method, you can easily modify it to suit your preference for double-pointed needles (DPNs).
**SIZE**: The length of the socks can be adjusted to fit your preferences, while the sock's circumference measures approximately 18.5 cm (7.25 inches) for smaller sizes and 22.5 cm (9.0 inches) for larger sizes.
**YARN**: You will need between 210-250 meters of durable sock yarn, such as Austermann Step 6 or other similar sport-weight yarn options. This will ensure your socks are not only comfortable but also long-lasting.
**NEEDLES**: To achieve the perfect gauge for your socks, use circular needles that are at least 80 cm (32 inches) in length. The recommended needle size is 3.25 mm, which is equivalent to US size 3.
A special thank you to my fantastic test knitters, Suddgummi and Gax, for their invaluable feedback and support throughout this process!
**TECHNICAL EDITING**: This pattern has been carefully tech-edited by the talented Jannika Hammarbrink to provide you with a seamless knitting experience.
