Coffea (child version)
Introducing the child version of my stunning design, Coffea, a delightful sweater/pullover that is perfect for young knitters looking to create a stylish and cozy garment. Coffea is crafted from the bottom edge and works its way up, featuring a captivating 2-colored allover pattern that adds charm and personality to the body of the sweater. Not only does this design showcase a beautiful raglan yoke and sleeve construction, but it also provides a comfortable fit and ease of movement for active kids.
The pattern is specifically designed for yarn with a gauge of 18 stitches per 10 centimeters, which corresponds to an approximate yardage of 90 meters per 50 grams. For this project, we recommend using Sandnes Peer Gynt yarn to achieve the best results. Your young ones will love wearing this sweater, making it an excellent addition to their wardrobe.
The Coffea pattern includes comprehensive instructions for knitting six different sizes, accommodating children aged 4 to 14 years. The chest widths measure 70 (78, 86, 93, 101, 109) centimeters, ensuring a great fit for every child. The lengths for the sizes are 43 (46, 51, 54, 57, 61) centimeters, allowing for variation in style as well.
This pattern is written for knitters who are familiar with the techniques of 2-colored stranded knitting, both in the round and back and forth. It is perfect for someone capable of following detailed written instructions, reading charts, and skillfully working increases, decreases, and picking up stitches. As a bonus, this project will help develop your knitting skills while creating a beautiful, functional piece.
Important to note: the pattern does not include finished items, yarn, or other materials. Instead, it focuses solely on providing clear and concise instructions for knitting the Coffea sweater/pullover.
