This versatile stitch pattern is perfect for showcasing even the most vibrant colorways from my favorite indie dyers. Whether you're making a gift or treating yourself, this pattern is sure to impress.
Finished Size: S (M, L) [6.75,” (8”, 9” around), unstretched]. This great range of sizes ensures a comfortable fit for various head sizes.
Yarn: For this pattern, I recommend using Ewe and Dye DK, which is a luxurious 100% Superwash Merino yarn, boasting 246 yards per 100g. The sample was knitted using the stunning “Hagrid’s Boxers” colorway, but feel free to use any DK weight yarn that inspires you. For our medium-sized ladies’ sample, we utilized approximately 95g, which is about 234 yards of yarn.
Needles: To create this project, you will need a set of 5 double-pointed needles or two circular needles in size 5 US (3.75 mm). However, you can always opt for different needle sizes if necessary to achieve your desired gauge.
Gauge: The gauge for this pattern is set at 24 stitches and 32 rows per 4 inches in stockinette stitch, knitted in the round. Achieving the correct gauge is essential for ensuring that your finished piece meets the intended dimensions and drape. This stitch pattern not only looks fantastic in solid colors but really shines with variegated or speckled yarns as well!
Get ready to unleash your creativity and knit a unique, cozy piece that will keep you warm while making a style statement. Happy knitting!
