MATERIALS

Yarn: For this project, we recommend using Manos del Uruguay Silk Blend, which is made of 70% non-superwash merino and 30% tussah silk (137 meters / 150 yards per 50g). You can also opt for any similar DK weight yarn to bring your vision to life.

For the sample, we used Manos del Uruguay Silk Blend in the following color combinations:
C1: 2 x 50g Cafe 2247
C2: 1 x 50g Berries
C3: 1 x 50g Sparkling Amethyst 7382. These vibrant colors work beautifully together, evoking the serene beauty of lavender fields.

Needles: You will need 3.75mm (US 5) and 4mm (US 6) needles. A 50cm/20 inch circular needle is recommended for optimal comfort and efficiency while knitting.

Notions: Be sure to gather additional supplies such as scrap yarn (for a provisional cast on) and a wool needle to complete your project.

Gauge: To achieve the desired fit and texture, the gauge should be 20 stitches and 30 rows = 10 cm (4”) in Garter stitch worked flat with a 4.0 mm (US #6) needle, after blocking. This gauge ensures your cowl will turn out beautifully, showcasing the intricate designs and textures.
