Welcome to our delightful collection of little handfuls of comforts! Originally designed for babies, these adorable stuffed animals are crafted with soft cotton yarn, featuring securely sewn eyes and noses for added safety. After experimenting with both double knit/lightweight worsted and Aran/worsted weight yarns, I decided to expand the fun and creativity by introducing fuzzy yarns, perfect for slightly older children who love to snuggle with plush toys.
The construction of these charming animals is simple yet versatile, as the bodies and arms remain consistent across all patterns—… except for our special lamb! This playful lamb is crafted primarily in garter stitch, and I’ve included a unique set of directions specifically tailored for him, ensuring that every cuddly creation is easy to follow and enjoyable to make. The only variations lie in the design of the heads, ears, and tails, allowing you to personalize each animal to your heart's content.
When completed, the double knit/lightweight worsted versions measure approximately 6.5 inches (17 cm), while the Aran/worsted weight animals will be about 8.5 inches (22 cm) tall. If you choose to go with fuzzy yarns, these adorable creations will stand at around 7 inches (18 cm), making them perfect for little hands to hold and love.
