Courage Lace Scarf

$3.57

This beautifully designed scarf symbolizes the incredible courage displayed by countless individuals battling cancer. Created as a source of inspiration during my own journey with cancer for the second time, this scarf is meant to uplift and encourage not only myself but anyone who wears it. Featuring an intricate blossom design and delightful textured stitches, the lace pattern makes this scarf a joyful knitting project. You’ll enjoy the peaceful experience of knitting it from the bottom up, seamlessly joining the two halves at the center with the Kitchener stitch technique. Whether you prefer charts or written instructions, this pattern provides both, ensuring a smooth and easy knitting experience!

Upon completion, and after a careful blocking, this stunning scarf measures an impressive 72 inches long and 6 inches wide, making it a perfect accessory for any wardrobe. The yarn required is approximately 440 yards of fingering weight, with the sample made using 2 balls of KnitPicks Palette fingering yarn, crafted from 100% Peruvian Highland Wool. Each ball contains 231 yards at 50 grams and is available in the striking color—Rouge.

For this project, you will need Size U.S. 5 needles, along with an additional spare needle to hold your work while knitting. You’ll also need a yarn needle to successfully work the Kitchener stitch and to securely weave in ends for a polished finish.
