The stitch pattern used in this design is incredibly simple, allowing for a relaxing knitting experience. However, be mindful to avoid drifting off into the moss stitch—it’s easy to lose track! The waistcoat's body is cleverly knitted in one continuous piece up to the armholes, seamlessly incorporating functional pockets for added convenience. The tops of the pockets are added after the main piece is completed and feature a unique reverse side of the Woven Stitch, adding a touch of sophistication. In our sample garment, we chose Dupion tartan silk to partially line the pockets, helping to maintain the clean lines of the waistcoat by preventing unsightly bulges from pocket contents. For a polished finish, the edgings are sewn on the wrong side, which beautifully transforms into the right side for the lapels.
