Cropped V-Neck Raglan
About the Design: This charming raglan pullover showcases subtle shaping from the waist to the chest, expertly crafted in the round with a convenient steek integrated for a stylish v-neck shaping. It’s an ideal knitting project for those new to creating circular sweaters, as it primarily features stockinette stitch (St st) and ribbing. This allows you to focus all your attention on the raglan shaping without the distraction of complex stitch patterns or color work, making it a perfect project for beginners and seasoned knitters alike.
While I enjoy designing intricate knits, I often find myself gravitating towards simpler styles, particularly when I’m cozying up at home. There’s something wonderfully comforting about a straightforward design that still makes a statement.
For this design, I utilized the luxurious Peace Fleece yarn for both pullover versions. I absolutely adore Peace Fleece! Not only does it soften beautifully after the first wash, but it also resists pilling remarkably well, even through extensive wear. The addition of mohair in the yarn blend helps to create a fabric that is not only soft but also remarkably warm, ensuring you'll stay cozy during even the chilliest days.
Gauge: Achieve the perfect fit with a gauge of 16 stitches and 26 rounds = 4” (10 cm) in Stockinette Stitch using size 8 needles or whatever size you need to match the gauge. Remember, to save time and enhance your project’s outcome, always take the time to check your gauge before you begin.
Substitute Yarn Weight: This pattern is designed for heavy worsted (aran) weight yarn, providing the ideal structure and warmth for your pullover.
Whether you're a novice or an experienced knitter looking for a straightforward yet satisfying project, this raglan pullover pattern is sure to bring joy to your knitting experience. Happy Knitting!
Best wishes,
Dawn
