Yarn Information

For this beautiful knitting project, we recommend using Blacker Yarns Blacker Swan 4ply, a luxurious 100% wool yarn that offers exceptional warmth and softness. Each 50g skein contains approximately 175 metres (190 yards) of yarn, providing ample material for your creation. The total yardage you’ll need for this pattern varies by size, as follows:

Yarn Requirements: 1300 (1430, 1560, 1690, 1820, 2015, 2210, 2405) metres or 1420 (1565, 1705, 1850, 1990, 2205, 2415, 2630) yards. These measurements are for the version with longer sleeves and body; please keep in mind that the shorter option will require slightly less yarn.

The sample shown in the images is knit in the stunning colourway 'Cinnamon Grass.' You'll see a variety of fits as experienced knitters like Malte wear a size 4 with an impressive 8.25 cm (3.25”) of positive ease in the longer version, while skilled crafter Verena showcases a size 4 featuring an ample 23.25 cm (9.25”) positive ease, also in the longer version.

Gauge Information

For optimal results, please adhere to the following gauge: 24 stitches and 34 rows yield a measurement of 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 inches) worked flat in a 2x2 Broken Rib stitch pattern using a larger needle, after blocking. Additionally, the same gauge applies when using the Garter Lines stitch on a larger needle post-blocking. Achieving the correct gauge is crucial for ensuring your finished project fits just right.
