Introducing the "Dark Nebula" knitting pattern—your new favorite go-to for an engaging and fun knit! This beautifully designed elongated triangle shawl features alternating sections of two-color garter stripes and elegant single-color chevron lace, allowing knitters to explore a variety of techniques. Whether you choose cozy wool for a warm fall accessory or lightweight cotton—like my sample—for a breezy summer shawl, this pattern is versatile enough to suit any season and occasion.

The intricate lace pattern is thoughtfully presented in both written and charted formats, ensuring clarity and ease for knitters of all skill levels.

Yarn Requirements: For this design, you will need approximately 575 yards (525 meters) of DK weight yarn for the main color (MC) and around 280 yards (260 meters) of DK weight yarn for the contrast color (CC). The sample was crafted using Uru.Yarn Cotton Basic, made from 100% Cotton with a yardage of 266 yards per 100 grams. This particular project used 2 skeins of colorway Stardust and 1 skein of colorway Pavement. (A friendly reminder: I utilized nearly every yard from the yarns in the sample; if you opt for the same yarn, it is advisable to purchase an extra skein of each color to ensure you don’t run short!)

Gauge: To achieve the best results, maintain a gauge of 16 stitches and 26 rows per 4 inches (10 cm) in stockinette. Check your gauge swatch to ensure your finished shawl has the intended dimensions and drape.

Essential Tools: Gather the following tools for your knitting project: Size 7 (4.5 mm) 40-inch (100 cm) circular needles (or the size required to achieve the correct gauge), 4 stitch markers, and a tapestry needle for weaving in ends. With the right tools in hand, you’ll be well-equipped to create this stunning shawl.

Elevate your knitting skills and craft your very own "Dark Nebula" shawl today. Perfect for gifting or adorning your wardrobe, this pattern promises to be a delightful addition to your knitting repertoire!
