Dark Nights
Introducing the enchanting "Dark Nights" knitting pattern, originally published online as part of The Yarn Collective’s exclusive Sage Collection. As of February 2022, this captivating design is now available as a convenient PDF pattern, making it easier than ever for knitters to create stunning pieces.
Important Notes: In the "Dark Nights" pattern, Yarns A and B are never used together in the same round, allowing for a delightful blend of color and texture. For those looking to complete the full set, only one skein of Yarn B will be necessary. However, you will need two skeins of Yarn A—one for the beautiful hat and another for the exquisite mittens.
Mitten Gauge: To achieve the perfect fit, aim for a gauge of 21 stitches and 40 rows = 10 cm / 4” over the color work pattern using 4.5 mm / US 7 needles after blocking.
Hat Gauge: For the hat, the recommended gauge is 19 stitches and 34 rows = 10 cm / 4” over the color work pattern, also using 4.5 mm / US 7 needles after blocking. Due to the smaller circumference of the mittens, you may notice a tighter gauge compared to the hat, even when utilizing the same needle size. Depending on your unique knitting style, you might find it beneficial to use a smaller needle in order to achieve the desired tighter gauge.
This knitting pattern is perfect for intermediate knitters looking to challenge themselves while creating a beautiful accessory set. Dive into the stunning world of color work and bring the "Dark Nights" collection to life in your very own hands!
