Desert Shawl
To the desert with you! My family's adventure to SE Utah, where we enjoyed a memorable Spring Break at our beloved house, Fort Abajo, inspired this beautiful shawl. During our trip, we spent our days gathering stunning rocks, hunting for dinosaur bones, and squinting into the bright desert sun. This shawl became the perfect accessory for our outdoor experiences, blending warmth and style effortlessly.
Yarn Information: This delightful shawl requires approximately 585 yards of total fingering-weight yarn. For the project, I used Republic of Wool Twist Fingering in Wasteland for color A (300 yards) and Knitted Wit Victory Fingering in Prussian Blue for color B (285 yards). These yarns not only provide a beautiful color palette but also offer a lovely texture that enhances the overall design.
Finished Measurements: The shawl boasts an impressive 84" wingspan and a depth of 15.5" at the center, making it a versatile piece that can be worn in various ways. Whether you choose to wrap it around your shoulders for warmth or drape it elegantly, this shawl is sure to become a favorite addition to your wardrobe.
Embrace the spirit of adventure and creativity with this stunning shawl pattern—perfect for showcasing your knitting skills and adding a touch of desert-inspired beauty to your collection!
