Actual Head Circumference: The hat will comfortably fit head circumferences of (13-13.5, 14-16.5, 17-19, 19.5-20.5, 21-22, 23-24) inches. It’s always a good idea to measure before you knit to achieve the best fit.

Finished Hat Height: The approximate finished height of the hat will be (5, 6, 6.5, 7, 7.1, 7.5, 8) inches, ensuring a snug and cozy wear for all ages.

Gauge: Achieve the perfect tension with a gauge of 22 stitches x 30 rows = 4” x 4” in Stocking stitch using US#6 (4 mm) needles. You can easily substitute yarn or needle sizes as long as you maintain this gauge for the best results.

Recommended Needles: For this pattern, I used US#4 (3.5 mm) and US#6 (4.0 mm) Double Pointed Needles, along with a yarn needle for seamless stitching.

Yarn Requirements: This pattern requires a medium worsted weight yarn (Category 4), with an approximate total yardage of (50, 60, 73, 107, 135, 147) yards, depending on the size chosen. For the samples shown in pictures, I used Caron Simply Soft, known for its softness and great drape.
