Materials Needed:
- Wool: For this project, I used Double Knit [8-6 ply, “light worsted”]. To create a perfect tension square, aim for a 10cm x 10cm square with 24 stitches across and 32 rows. You'll require no more than 100g of grey wool, 50g of cream, and approximately 25g each of orange, yellow, light pink, dark pink, light green, and dark green.
- Knitting Needles: UK size 11 (3.0mm) or US size 2.5 is recommended for this project.
- Tapestry Needle: For weaving in ends and stitching pieces together.
- Stuffing: To give your creations a plump appearance.
- Stitch holder: To keep stitches safe while you work on other parts.
- Toy Safety Eyes: I recommend using 12mm diameter eyes for the dolphin and 6mm for the other friends—or you can use wool to embroider eyes for a softer look.
