Dot a Lot beanie
Brighten up your winter wardrobe with a splash of color using this stylish double knit beanie pattern. Perfect for knitters of all skill levels, this beanie is knitted in the round, allowing for easier tension management during colourwork and minimizing the need for finishing touches. To add a playful finish, a multi-coloured pom pom adorns the top, making it a perfect accessory for chilly days.
For this delightful project, you will need approximately 30-50g of your main color yarn (about 90-150 meters) and a total of 20-25g (60-75 meters) for the contrast colors. Choose vibrant hues that reflect your personal style and add a trendy touch to your winter accessories.
For the knitting process, I used a 3.25mm circular needle for the ribbed brim, and transitioned to a 4mm circular needle using the magic loop method for the main body of the hat. However, if you prefer a more traditional approach, feel free to use double-pointed needles (dpns) instead. This pattern is designed for versatility, giving you the freedom to choose your preferred knitting tools.
Please note that the colourwork instructions are provided in a chart format only, not in written round-by-round instructions, so be sure you’re comfortable with reading charts before you start.
