Double Cable Mittens
Discover the joy of knitting with our beautifully designed fingerless gloves pattern, perfect for expressing your creativity and style. These gloves are relatively easy to knit, making them an excellent choice for both beginners and experienced knitters. The standout feature of this pattern is the stunning double cable design, which elegantly runs along the back of both hands, while the palm side remains plain for a classic look. This pattern caters to a standard size length pair of mittens but can be easily modified by adding an extra repeat of the cable pattern on the wrist, allowing you to create longer mitts to suit your style.
Size: Designed to fit most women, our fingerless gloves accommodate wrist circumference measurements ranging from 15cm (6in) to 18cm (7in). The total length for the classic wrist glove is 21cm (8.25in), while adding an additional cable pattern repeat will extend the length to 24.5cm (9.5in), giving you options for both style and comfort.
Skills Required: This pattern involves knitting in the round, and can be executed using either the magic loop method or double-pointed needles. Additionally, you will learn to incorporate cables, which adds an extra level of sophistication to your finished project.
Materials Needed: For this pattern, you will need just 1 skein of James C. Brett Pure Merino (50g - 124m - 136yds per skein) or any equivalent weight yarn from your favorite brand in your preferred color. The sample mittens featured here were crafted in a vibrant Chartreuse Green (Shade PM1). If you opt for the longer wrist version, be sure to have 2 skeins on hand. You will also need one 4mm (US size 6) circular needle, ideally 60cm (24in) in length or longer, to facilitate comfortable knitting.
