A Delightful Weekend Project to Keep You Cozy and Warm This Holiday Season

This festive season is all about giving, and as a heartfelt thank you to the fiber community for your unwavering support this year, I'm excited to present a wonderfully quick and fun throw pattern. It's perfect for cozying up on chilly nights or gifting to loved ones. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone in our crafting community!

Throw Dimensions: Width: 41 ½” / 105 cm | Length: 44” / 112 cm

Materials Needed: You will require a total of 520 yards / 475 meters of super-bulky weight yarn (with a 10% buffer added to the amount for safety). For this project, we recommend using Cape May Fiber American Super Bulky yarn, which consists of 99% American Wool and 1% Nylon, providing both warmth and durability. Each skein has 130 yards and weighs 200 grams. You will need one skein in each of the following gorgeous colors: Witches of Wildwood, Southern Quahog, Old Dock, and Natural.

Essential Tools:

  • US Size 19 (15mm) 32” (or longer) circular knitting needle
  • Darning needle for weaving in ends
  • Scissors for cutting yarn

Gauge: Achieve a gauge of 6 stitches and 9 rows = 4” (10 cm) in stockinette stitch after blocking. If necessary, adjust your needle size to ensure you meet the correct gauge for your finished piece.

Whether you are an experienced knitter or a beginner eager to learn, this cozy throw pattern is an ideal weekend project that combines functionality with style. Join in the festive spirit, and let's create warmth and joy together through the art of knitting! Happy crafting!
