From the pattern page:
Many years ago, I stumbled upon the stunning “Leaning Ladder” stitch pattern in Barbara Walker’s “A Fourth Treasury of Knitting Patterns.” Its undulating design immediately struck me as resembling the body of a dragon. So, in early 2012, coinciding with the Chinese Year of the Dragon, I was inspired to create a unique design that features a beautiful lace dragon. I enhanced the original “Leaning Ladder” pattern by incorporating intricate lace limbs, claws, head, and a distinctive tail, capturing the essence of this mythical creature.
This project showcases a hip-length pullover that’s both stylish and versatile. The design has been thoughtfully crafted with set-in ¾-length sleeves, giving it an elegant silhouette. The moderate waist shaping and V-neckline provide a flattering fit, while the I-cord trim at the neck and cuffs adds a touch of sophistication. Additionally, we’ve included a turned hem for a polished finish. This knitting pattern is perfect for intermediate to advanced knitters looking to expand their skills and create a stunning piece that celebrates the artistry of lace knitting.
Whether you're making this for yourself or as a special gift, the lace dragon pullover is sure to impress. Dive into this exciting design and unleash your creativity with this captivating knitting pattern!
