This is the exciting Mystery Sock pattern for the May 2013 Sockdown event in the Sock Knitters Anonymous (SKA) group, also known as the SKA Mock. Join fellow knitters in this fun and engaging knitting journey!

Pattern installments will be released weekly on Wednesdays, allowing you to work at a comfortable pace. Here’s the breakdown for this month’s mystery sock adventure:
- **1 May**: Left cuff & leg
- **8 May**: Right cuff & leg
- **15 May**: Heel flap & turn for both feet
- **22 May**: Gusset, foot, & toe for both feet

Pattern Notes & Notions: This Mystery Sock pattern requires basic knitting skills, and I found that having several stitch markers and highlighters handy was essential, especially while knitting the legs. You will also need a cable needle unless you’re exceptionally comfortable cabling without one. The pattern is primarily designed for double-pointed needles (DPNs), as that is my preferred method. However, if you prefer the magic loop method, feel free to use stitch markers to help keep track of your place. I suggest knitting the socks one at a time until you complete the heel flaps; afterward, knitting them together as a pair (TAAT) is a sensible and enjoyable approach!

Recommended Yarn: For this Mystery Sock pattern, I highly recommend using a solid color sock yarn with a nice, tight twist. A well-twisted yarn provides durability and elasticity, ensuring that your socks will not only look great but also hold up well over time. Additionally, feel free to explore a variety of colors to make your mystery socks uniquely yours. You can get away with a ton of creativity in your yarn choices while maintaining the integrity of the sock design.

Get ready to challenge your knitting skills and have fun with this Mystery Sock pattern. Happy knitting!
