Dudester Hat
I fell in love with The Dudester Scarf designed by the talented Jana Pihota and couldn't resist the urge to create a matching hat! This stylish accessory is perfect for both casual and formal wear, making it an essential addition to any knitwear collection.
Jana's original scarf pattern has been thoughtfully adapted from working flat to working circularly in this hat version. Special attention has been given to maintaining the integrity of the unique textured patterns even during the decreasing process, ensuring that the final product looks just as beautiful as the scarf.
This project is not only quick and easy, but it is also particularly fantastic for the guys in your life who appreciate stylish knitted accessories. Whether you are an experienced knitter or a beginner looking to enhance your skills, this hat is a super-fast knit that you will thoroughly enjoy making.
Yarn: For this project, I recommend using Cascade 220 Superwash yarn, with just one skein needed to complete the hat. In my experience, I used approximately 175 yards for the pictured hat, making it a budget-friendly option as well!
Needle: To get started, you'll need a US 5/3.75 mm 16” circular needle or any size that helps you achieve the correct gauge.
Gauge: The hat pattern is worked at a gauge of 22 stitches and 36 rows, measuring 4”/10 cm, ensuring a perfect fit and comfortable wear.
Size: This pattern is designed to be a one-size-fits-most accessory, making it a versatile choice for gifting or for yourself.
By combining style and practicality, this Dudester Hat is bound to become a favorite in your knitting repertoire. Don't miss the chance to pair it with the original Dudester Scarf for a complete and fashionable look!
