The Eclat du Jour pattern has been newly reformatted and features a delightful selection of three fair isle knitted bags, each featuring unique charted motifs: the Thistle, which pays homage to Charles Rennie Mackintosh, the Bee, and the Pomegranate. Each bag can be customized with any of the motifs, providing you with the freedom to mix and match for a personal touch. The pattern includes clear directions for optional handle reinforcement and lining, ensuring your bags not only look fabulous but also function well. Originally part of Sanguine Gryphon’s Spring 2011 collection, these beautiful designs are inspired by the intricate elegance of Art Nouveau. For the best results, it’s recommended to use smooth fingering yarns for this project, which allows the intricate patterns to shine. While samples were made with Sanguine Gryphon’s Eidos yarn, please note that these colors have since been discontinued. Here are the approximate yardages required for each bag size: Small – about 45m/50yd of main color (MC) and 45m/50yd of contrasting color (CC), Medium – approximately 85m/95yd MC and 85m/95yd CC, and Large – roughly 140m/155yd MC and 140m/155yd CC. Dive into your next knitting adventure with the Eclat du Jour pattern, where art meets function in beautifully crafted bags!
