EDF Energy Zingy Cushion and Toy Mascot
Introducing my unique knitting design inspired by the cheerful EDF Energy Zingy advert mascot! This delightful creation is transformed into both a charming small toy and a cozy cushion cover. For this project, you will need two 100g balls of Sirdar Supersoft Aran yarn in shade 0897 (Tangerine). This lovely, soft yarn provides the perfect texture and warmth for your creations. Additionally, gather some oddments of white and black double knitting wool, along with felt to create the adorable face of the toy.
Don't forget the essentials: a small amount of toy stuffing, size 4.5mm and 3.75mm knitting needles, and three buttons to finish off the cushion. With just two balls of Sirdar Supersoft Aran, you’ll be able to create a beautiful cushion cover and several cute Zingy toys, making this project both economical and rewarding!
The cushion cover is designed to fit an 18-inch (45cm) round cushion pad perfectly. If you prefer a square cushion, you can easily adapt the design by squishing in the corners. The back of the cushion buttons across the middle, providing an elegant and practical finish.
The finished toy stands approximately 11cm tall, crafted using aran wool. If you’d like a smaller version or if you’re interested in making a fun keyring, consider using double knitting wool instead! This versatile pattern allows for plenty of creativity and customization.
