Edith Mitts
**2022 UPDATE: New and Improved Edith Mitts and Mittens Pattern**
This knitting pattern has been re-written with a revised tension, as the original mittens (as shown in the accompanying images) were crafted from a yarn that has since been discontinued. In response to feedback from fellow knitters on Ravelry regarding sizing issues, I have added an additional size—size S. The previous size L has now been updated to size XL, ensuring a better fit for everyone.
The Edith Mitts and Mittens were initially designed and knitted using the beautiful Solid Aran BFL from A Stash Addict. Recently, I created a pair using Cascade 220, which turned out wonderfully! This yarn proves to be highly durable, making it my recommended choice for this project moving forward. Cascade 220 not only offers resilience but also a fantastic range of colors, perfect for any wardrobe.
Originally, I intended to offer only mittens as part of this pattern, but halfway through the process, I realized how lovely the mitts turned out as well! Therefore, you will find detailed instructions for knitting both cozy mitts and classic mittens included in this versatile pattern, allowing you to choose your preferred style.
The Edith mitts and mittens are perfect for a weekend or a lazy crafting day, as both patterns knit up incredibly quickly, making them ideal for gifting or personal use. Whether you’re an experienced knitter or just starting out, this project is sure to provide a satisfying and enjoyable experience.
