Eri's Shawl

$8.00

Eri is a beautifully crafted top-down triangular shawl that showcases an elegant series of three intricate lace patterns. This versatile design offers knitters the option of two different cast-on techniques and includes both charted and detailed written instructions, ensuring accessibility for all skill levels. The pattern has been meticulously tech-edited by SbutterAMfly for the English version and by steffilinden for the German version, and has also undergone a thorough test-knit by the talented cellogirl2. Named after my best friend, the Eri shawl is designed to embody the essence of strong, beautiful, and fun-to-be-with women, making it the perfect accessory for any occasion.

To successfully create the Eri shawl, you'll need to have experience with specific knitting skills, including knitting through the back loop, as well as various decreases such as ssk, sssk, k2tog, k3tog, and s2kp. Additionally, you should be comfortable with making yarn overs (YO), which are essential for achieving the lovely lace details of the shawl.

For materials, you will need 1 hank of Garnstudio Drops Lace (100 g or 3.53 oz, with a generous 800 m or 875 yd length) in the stunning Ice Blue shade #8105, which is composed of 70% alpaca and 30% silk. Alternatively, you can choose approximately 530 m (580 yd) of laceweight yarn of your preference. To bring this elegant design to life, you will also need a 3.25 mm (US 3) circular needle, or a size that produces a fabric you love. Don’t forget to gather 4 stitch markers to help keep track of your progress as you knit.

With the Eri shawl pattern, you’ll not only create a timeless piece for yourself but also celebrate the wonderful women in your life. Dive into this innovative knitting project today and enjoy each stitch as you craft a shawl that embodies strength, beauty, and friendship!
