Evanesce Hat (Worsted)

$2.00
If you're anything like me and have a stash of extra worsted weight yarn just waiting for the perfect project, this stash-busting knitting pattern is your new go-to! Not only will you finally make use of those leftover yarn bits, but you'll also create beautiful, cozy pieces in the process. My personal stash includes a delightful mix of Cascade 220, Malabrigo Rios, and Berocco Vintage, giving each project its own unique flair. In this pattern, you’ll be holding two worsted weight yarns together at all times, allowing you to explore various color combinations and textures. Every 4-7 rows, you’ll switch one of the yarns out, creating a stunning gradient effect. And don’t worry if your yarn leftovers don’t perfectly match the recommended lengths! You can confidently make adjustments by switching yarns slightly earlier or later—between 1/2 to 1 row—to achieve the same gorgeous outcome. This versatile pattern is designed to help you produce multiple sizes of hats (up to 4 sizes) using just 5 full skeins, each containing 192 meters (or 210 yards) of yarn. However, be aware that your last hat may incorporate more of the first and last colors due to the way the yarn is used, giving it a distinctive charm. For my sample projects, I utilized 5 skeins of Malabrigo Rios, and I can’t recommend this soft, luxurious yarn enough! Whether you're a seasoned knitter or just starting out, this pattern offers an enjoyable, creative way to reduce your yarn stash while crafting stylish hats. So grab your favorite worsted weight yarns, and let’s get knitting!
