Yarn Requirements: The Falling Gems Cardigan is knitted using Savvy Skeins Sensible Sock yarn, which is composed of 80% Superwash Merino and 20% Nylon, and provides 420 yards per 100g skein. You’ll need 2(3, 3, 3, 4, 4) skeins in total. Our sample was crafted in the lovely Gemstone color, utilizing approximately 290g of yarn for a 44” length and 16” long design. Please note that opting for long sleeves may require additional yarn, so plan accordingly to ensure you have enough for your project.
Needles: For this cardigan, we recommend using a US Size 5 (3.75mm) circular needle with a length of 32 inches or longer; larger sizes may find it beneficial to use a longer needle for ease of knitting. Additionally, you’ll need the same size double-pointed needles or your preferred method for knitting small circumferences in the round.To achieve the perfect gauge, aim for 20 stitches and 28 rows per 4" in stockinette stitch, worked flat.
