I created the first version of this beloved hat years ago on a whim, without taking the time to write down a pattern. It quickly became my go-to accessory; in a vast collection that boasts over 100 hats, this particular one is the one I wear 9 times out of 10! My love for this design prompted me to reknit it in the exact same yarn and color, and this time I took detailed notes. Now, I am thrilled to finally share with you my all-time favorite hat pattern!

For those who are observant, you'll notice that this hat bears a resemblance to the Meriwether design. The Meri was my first attempt to recreate that cherished original, and while I do find it delightful in its own right, it just doesn’t capture that special essence of my first creation. So here I am, once more, ready to present a pattern that embodies what I truly love!

The sample for this pattern was lovingly knitted using Alpaca with a Twist Highlander, a fantastic choice that adds luxury and warmth to the final product.
