Introducing the **FEATHERED UP Shawl**, a captivating nonstranded colorwork triangular shawl that is expertly crafted by working diagonally, stripe by stripe. This stunning design combines essential knitting techniques, including garter stitch, slipped stitches, and both decreases and increases, making it ideal for knitters looking to enhance their skills. While this pattern shares some techniques with my popular **Sea Shells** and **Peacock Challenge** designs, it offers a more accessible option for those who wish to explore colorwork.

For your FEATHERED UP shawl, you will need two highly contrasting yarn colors, which can be gradient, solid, or speckled. The shawl as pictured utilizes approximately 150g (600m) of fingering-weight yarn total—60g of the first color and 90g of a vibrant blue. To comfortably work this pattern, you will require short and long circular knitting needles in US sizes 5 or 6.

The beautifully crafted prototype features 9 motifs at the top and measures an impressive 165 cm wide at the neck, with a graceful drop of 63 cm. This dimension makes it perfect for draping over your shoulders during chilly evenings or for use as a stylish accessory on any outfit.
