Fhp
Get ready to embrace some delightful pink with this vibrant shawlette, meticulously designed to showcase the beauty of variegated yarn. This charming pattern was inspired by a lovely yarn acquisition made at a trunk show during the DC yarn crawl at the splendid [Knot House][1] in Frederick, MD. Perfect for anyone looking to add a pop of color to their wardrobe, this shawlette combines style and texture effortlessly.
The fhp shawlette made its charming debut at one of my favorite local yarn stores (LYS), [Love2Knit][2] in RI. During the trunk show, the LYS owner experimented with two skeins of the beautiful Koigu yarn, exclaiming, "Wow, it looks ribbed!" and later remarking, "This really has a textured rib appearance! I love that!" These enthusiastic reactions inspired the name of the shawlette. For those of us in the US, the name may evoke memories of a certain famous advertisement—the phrase “ribbed fhp (for her pleasure)” comes to mind. However, I assure you that this shawlette is exclusively recommended for your knitting pleasure! Wear it with joy as an elegant accessory or give it as a thoughtful gift.
Final Measurements: Enjoy a gorgeous finish with measurements of 43 inches along the neck edge and 14 inches at the deepest point.
Materials Needed:
To create this stunning shawlette, you will need just one skein of sock yarn that has at least 350 yards. Feel free to continue knitting until you achieve your desired size and look! As an example, I used a total of 390 yards of the gorgeous Dragonfly Djinni yarn in the colorway "Save."
This shawlette is perfect for knitters of all levels, adding a unique, textured flair to any outfit. Dive into this delightful project and enjoy the satisfaction that comes with crafting your very own fhp shawlette today!
