Five Points Hat

$4.19

If you're a fan of hand-dyed sock yarn and love knitting stylish hats, you're in for a treat! We are excited to present a unique one-skein hat pattern, designed specifically for the 2014 Yarn Along the Rockies yarn crawl. This delightful sock yarn hat features a charming five-pointed star decrease, inspired by both the intricate knitting technique and the vibrant Five Points neighborhood of Denver, where our store is located. Thus, the name of the hat not only relates to its captivating design but also pays homage to our local culture.

The hat pattern is intentionally designed to be slouchy, giving it a contemporary look that many knitters adore. However, if you're in the mood for something a little different, you can easily customize the design: make it slouchier for an exaggerated style or shorten it by about an inch for a classic, snug-fitting stocking cap.

As part of the exciting Yarn Along the Rockies event, this one-skein hat pattern is currently available for free until the end of 2014! When the promotional period ends, the price will be reduced as soon as you click to buy it. It’s a wonderful opportunity to create a beautiful accessory while experimenting with vibrant colors and unique textures of sock yarn.

Don’t forget to check the pattern for important updates! For instance, there is a small errata: the original version of Round 2 of the decrease should read: K7, k2tog, yo, p3tog, yo, ssk, k7; repeat four more times (95 STS). We want to ensure your knitting experience is as enjoyable and successful as possible.

We hope you enjoy creating this stunning hat as much as we loved designing it! Happy knitting!
