Flipside Mitts

$4.54

Introducing the third mitt in the popular Plucktember Mystery Mitts Subscription Series! Be sure to mark your calendars for the next and final pair, arriving on September 22nd. We invite you to join the fun in the [Designer Duo][2] thread as we knit along together!

Finished Size
This versatile mitt pattern is designed to fit a circumference of 7 (8)" and is 11" tall, making it a perfect accessory for varying hand sizes.

Yarn
For this pattern, we recommend using The Plucky Knitter Primo Fingering yarn (composed of 75% merino, 20% cashmere, and 5% nylon; with 385 yards per 100 grams). You will need 1 skein of Yellow Submarine (MC) and 1 skein of Urban Iron (CC). Please note that the yarn is held double—resulting in an approximate requirement of 230 (265) yards for the main color (MC) and 75 (85) yards for the contrasting color (CC). If you prefer, feel free to substitute with a worsted or aran weight yarn for a different texture and feel!

Needles
This project requires a set of size 8 (5.0 mm) double-pointed needles. Don’t forget to adjust your needle size if needed to achieve the correct gauge for your mitts!

Notions
Be sure to gather some essential notions for this project, including stitch markers, waste yarn for provisional cast-on, and a tapestry needle for finishing touches.

Gauge
To create a beautiful, well-fitted mitt, aim for a gauge of 20 stitches and 22 rows = 4" in Stockinette Stitch. Accurate gauge will enhance the overall appearance and fit of your finished mitts.
