Forest Hoodie
During our family vacation in an unfamiliar town, we encountered a breathtaking sight that inspired our latest design: a stunning row of giant trees reminiscent of Christmas trees, standing tall and majestic. As we gazed out the car windows searching for a specific street, my mom excitedly beckoned us to look! We all turned to catch a glimpse of those enormous, pointy trees, and I quickly grabbed my camera to capture the moment, despite the bustling traffic. The beauty of those massive trees left a lasting impression, and it inspired the unique border design of this cozy hoodie.
This seamless hoodie is expertly crafted by knitting from the bottom up, ensuring a smooth finish that enhances comfort and style. Once the yoke reaches the neckline, you’ll transition from knitting in the round to working back and forth to create the yoke, neckline, and hood borders alongside the shoulders. A key feature of this pattern is the innovative technique used at the top of the hood—rather than casting off, you’ll simply graft the remaining stitches together, eliminating that often unwelcome cast-off edge and providing a clean, polished look.
Additionally, here’s an important erratum for this pattern: Rows 145 and 146 should be corrected to Rows 143 and 144, ensuring your knitting experience is smooth and enjoyable. The pattern requires a total of 89 stitches, setting you on the path to knit a beautifully crafted hoodie that not only celebrates the beauty of nature but also keeps you warm and stylish.
