Yarn & Yardage Requirements:
For the Short Sleeve Version, we recommend using fingering weight (1) yarn. In this example, we used Teton Sock in the beautiful color Spruce by Explorer Knits & Fibers (463 yds/423 m/100 g per skein). You'll need approximately 586 (680, 754, 858, 970) yards, or 1090, 1276, 1366, and 1550 yards for larger sizes. To convert, this means you'll want about 536 (622, 689, 785, 887) meters, up to 1417 meters for the largest size.
For the Long Sleeve Version, we favored Herriot Fine in the cozy Campfire color by Juniper Moon Farm (461 yds/422 m/100 g per skein). Expect to use about 950 (1070, 1150, 1260, 1400) yards, scaling up to 1570, 1650, 1850, and 1920 yards as the sizes increase. In metric terms, this translates to approximately 869 (978, 1052, 1152, 1280) meters, reaching up to 1756 meters for the largest size.
