Skill Level & Techniques Used
This pattern is classified as Easy, making it suitable for knitters of all experience levels. To create this beautiful item, you will learn and use the following techniques:
- Cable knitting
- Making decorative bubbles

Yarn Requirements
For this project, I recommend using Jamieson’s of Shetland DK yarn in the stunning shade 525 Crimson. Depending on your size preference, you'll need:
- Medium: 3 balls
- Long: 4 balls
Note that 1 ball weighs 25g and contains approximately 75 meters (82 yards) of yarn.

Tension / Gauge
Achieve the perfect fit by ensuring your gauge matches 22 stitches and 30 rows over a 10 cm (4”) square when using stockinette stitch. Proper tension is essential for the best results!

Needles & Notions
You will need the following tools to complete this pattern:
- 1 pair of 4 mm knitting needles (I personally recommend using Addi Click 4mm interchangeable needles)
- 1 cable needle for those lovely cable details
Be sure to have your tools ready before you begin your project!

Sizes Available
This pattern comes in two sizes:
- Medium: Perfect for the classic Ascot knot
- Long: Ideal for the stylish European loop (as depicted in the image below)
Choose the size that fits your personal style best!

Thank you for supporting this charitable initiative through your love of knitting. I hope you enjoy this free knitting pattern as much as I enjoyed creating it for you!
