Materials Needed: To create these stunning socks, you will require 1 set of US1.5 DPNs or a size that achieves the perfect gauge. Many of my testers found success using the Magic Loop method along with stitch markers, proving very effective for this project. Additionally, you’ll need a cable needle (or the ability to cable without one, which is highly recommended), a tapestry needle for weaving in ends, scissors, and a measuring tape for achieving accurate dimensions.
Yarn Requirements: Approximately 400 yards of fingering weight yarn will be needed to complete this delightful project. Choose a color that resonates with the world of Middle-earth or reflects your personal style.
Ease: The socks feature very slightly negative ease, providing a snug and stretchy fit for comfort during wear.
Available Sizes & Measurements: The pattern offers two sizes: Small (64 stitches) & Large (72 stitches).
--Calf: 9(11) inches measured from cuff to heel.
--Foot: 8(9) inches measured from heel to toe.
--Gusset: Approximately 10 inches to ensure a great fit.
