Introducing the “Gesa Triangle Shawl” - a delightful and easy-to-knit triangular shawl pattern that is perfect for both beginner and experienced knitters alike! This charming shawl is worked seamlessly from one edge to the other, making it an enjoyable project that yields beautiful results. You’ll start with just 3 stitches and gradually shape your triangle using simple increases and decreases, allowing you to expand your knitting skills in a fun and creative way. My original design features a smaller shawl, but feel free to customize your project to your liking; simply knit until your yarn runs out for a larger wrap!

The “Gesa” shawl employs a variety of slip stitch patterns, each worked with one color at a time, providing a striking visual effect without overwhelming complexity. The accompanying patterns are charted for your convenience, but don’t worry if charts aren’t your thing! If you’re comfortable adapting patterns to accommodate increases and decreases, you’ll find it easy to follow along without following the charts closely.

Materials Needed:

  • 4 shades of any yarn that fits the yardage of 435 yards per 100 grams. You'll need just 1 skein of each color (for my shawl, I only needed around 50 grams of each color, making it a fantastic stash-buster).
  • US 4 (3.5 mm) circular knitting needles, perfect for creating a flexible fabric.
  • Tapestry needles for weaving in those pesky ends.

Gauge: Achieve a gauge of 24 stitches and 44 rows = 4 inches (10 x 10 cm) in garter stitch after blocking, ensuring that your shawl turns out just right!

Whether you're preparing for a cozy night in or a special outing, the “Gesa Triangle Shawl” is the perfect accessory to elevate any outfit. Dive into your next knitting adventure and enjoy the process of creating a triangular shawl that showcases your unique style. Happy knitting!
