Ginger Beer Mitts

As part of my exciting trip to Oregon for the Lantern Moon Retreat, I wanted to create a unique knitting project that captures the essence of local craftsmanship. I was thrilled to collaborate with a fantastic local dyer, Lorajean Kelley, of Knitted Wit Yarns, known for her vibrant colors and high-quality materials.

Upon receiving the stunning shade of yellow from her collection, I was instantly inspired. This vibrant yellow yarn is perfect for adding a delightful pop of color to a denim jacket during the spring or to brighten up my big toggle coat in the winter months. For this pattern, I chose her exquisite 2-ply Welterweight Rambouillet yarn, which is not only soft but also exhibits excellent stitch definition—making it perfect for intricate cable work.
