Yarn Requirements:
For this pattern, you will need DK weight yarn, with an approximate yardage of 200m per 100g. For those who prefer alternative materials, you may also opt for fingering weight yarn with about 400m per 100g, using a double strand technique—this is how I achieved my own hat. Below is the total yarn usage by size:
- Size S: approximately 90g
- Size M: approximately 100g
- Size L: approximately 110g
Essential Tools:
To create this hat, you will need a set of double-pointed needles (DPN) or circular needles in size 4.0mm (US6), one stitch marker, and one darning needle to weave in ends.
Gauge Information:
Achieve a gauge of 18 stitches x 26 rows equal to 4x4 inches when using US6 (4.0mm) needles in a k1/p1 pattern, washed and blocked, ensuring your finished hat has the perfect dimensions.
