Good Times Shawl

This stunning shawl holds a special place in my heart, crafted with love and creativity. The talented team at Pascuali, in collaboration with the renowned designer Melanie Berg, has brought to life the extraordinary new yarn “Balayage.” As one of the first knitters to create my design using this incredible yarn, I was captivated from the very beginning by its luxuriously soft blend of alpaca and merino wool. The color palette of Balayage is nothing short of breathtaking, featuring a wide array of hues that include bold colors, pastel shades, and muted tones—there's truly something for everyone. For this shawl design, I incorporated a variety of knitting techniques and patterns that I have a true passion for. The shawl features alternating stripes and relaxed garter stitch sections, seamlessly mixed with intricate “V” sections that introduce a delightful challenge. This combination creates what I believe is the ideal knitting experience for crafters of all skill levels. Throughout the process, I employed several knitting techniques, including knitting, purling, increases, decreases, simple cross stitches, and a Three-Needle Bind-Off, along with slipped stitches for added texture.
