Gordian Shrug
This knitting pattern for a customizable shrug features both written directions and charts for beautiful cable designs, perfect for knitters of all skill levels. Each section includes detailed instructions that guide you through the process of creating a stylish and comfortable wrap.
Note: You may need to use a larger needle size, as I tend to knit quite loosely.
This shrug is designed to be adjustable, with two key points in the pattern where you can try it on or take measurements to ensure a perfect fit for the wearer. Additionally, we have added several A la carte options for the ribbing, giving you the ability to customize the look and feel of your shrug. This pattern is suitable for any adult size, ranging from petite to tall plus size, making it a versatile addition to any wardrobe.
You will need approximately 600-700 yards of your chosen main color yarn and an additional 100-250 yards for the ribbing. You can choose to use the same color for the ribbing or opt for a contrasting color to add a unique touch, depending on your personal style. Please note that yardage may vary based on the elasticity of the yarn selected. As a general rule of thumb, be sure to plan for additional yarn if you decide to use an especially inelastic type (such as Alpaca or silk).
Whether you're an experienced knitter or just starting out, this pattern offers an enjoyable challenge and a chance to create a stunning piece that you'll be proud to wear!
