This charming little cardigan, inspired by the iconic pullover worn by Ron Weasley in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1,” is a must-have addition to any young man’s wardrobe. Featuring eye-catching cables and stylish chunky buttons, this cardigan combines both visual appeal and practicality. Made using worsted weight yarn, this delightful sweater not only works up quickly but is also sure to captivate your young wearer’s heart!

***To create beautiful mirroring cables on the RIGHT FRONT side, please follow these specific rows:

Row 3: K2, P3, K3, P2, K2, c4f, P2, K10 (12, 16, 20, 22)
Row 4: Repeat as row 2
Row 5: K2, P3, K3, P2, c4f, K2, P2, K10 (12, 16, 20, 22)
Row 6: Repeat as row 2

If you want the ribbing at the bottom edges of the body to align perfectly, we recommend making the front pieces first. After completing the front, you can start the back ribbing using the appropriate stitch to achieve this. This method will allow your k2, p2 ribbing to continue seamlessly around the entire bottom edge when the cardigan pieces are sewn together, ensuring a polished finish.

ERRATA: After completing the ribbing at the bottom edge, the pattern instructs you to increase 1 stitch for the size 6-8 years. Please note: Do not increase for the 6-8 year size.

This stylish cardigan pattern not only provides a fun knitting experience but also results in a warm and fashionable piece that will keep your little one cozy. Perfect for special occasions or everyday wear, it offers versatility and charm that stands out in any young man’s attire. Enjoy knitting this classic piece and watch as it becomes a treasured favorite in your child's wardrobe!
