For your project, you will need the following materials: 70g (or 2.47 oz) of self-striping double knit yarn—based on my recommendation, I used Elle Pullskein Double Knit Print in Shrimp for a vibrant look. Additionally, gather 5g (or 0.18 oz) of turquoise double knit yarn, as well as a small amount of light brown, orange, and green double knit yarn to bring Harry to life. You’ll also require a pair of 3.25 mm (or 3 US) knitting needles, stuffing for the bunny, one set of 10mm safety eyes to give Harry his signature look, and 80cm (or 32 inches) of either Aculon, Tiger Tail, fishing line, or black sewing thread to craft his adorable whiskers.

In this pattern, you will utilize several knitting techniques, including the thumb method for casting on, knitting in garter stitch, purling, and working in stocking stitch. You’ll also learn how to perform M1R, M1L, SSK, K2tog, P2tog, and how to cast off efficiently. Finally, I will guide you through the best methods to sew the pieces together using mattress stitch or the Bickford method to ensure a neat finish.

Whether you’re an experienced knitter or just starting your crafting journey, Harry The Hungry Hare is a fun and rewarding project that will not only enhance your skills but will also bring joy to anyone who sees him! Start gathering your materials today and get ready to create a bunny that’s perfect for every season!
