Pattern Details:

Gauge: 4.5 sts & 6.5 rws = 1” / 2.5 cm in Stockinette stitch.

Yarn: This project requires 70 (80, 98, 170, 195) yards of worsted-weight yarn. We recommend using Wooly Worsted by Ewe Ewe Yarns, made from 100% Superwash Merino (50g = 98 yds). You will need 1 (1, 1, 2, 2) skeins for the main color. If you're interested in adding a playful touch with skinny stripes (as shown in the photo), plan to have an additional 20 yards of a contrasting color available. Our sample hat is featured in the warm hues of chocolate and saffron, perfect for a cozy winter look.

Needles and Other Supplies:

To create this hat, you will need a set of US 8 / 5 mm 16” / 41 cm circular needles and double-pointed needles (DPNs), or whichever size is necessary to achieve the gauge. Additionally, a US 7 / 4.5 mm 16” / 41 cm circular needle, which is one size smaller than your gauge needle, will be required for the brim.

You will also need a stitch marker to help keep track of your rounds, as well as a tapestry needle to weave in any ends once your project is completed.
