Henrietta 2CV - knitting pattern

Henrietta 2CV

$4.84

When I first met my husband, he owned a charming 2CV named Henrietta, and it's this beloved car that has inspired my delightful knitting design. For those interested in the creative process, you can read more about my journey on my blog, GinxCraft, where I share tips and stories about crafting and knitting.

I have made every effort to remain true to the original Henrietta in my knitting pattern. This intricate design involves knitting the main body of the car in just three sections, which allows for ease of construction. The pattern also includes detailed color charts for the iconic side panels, ensuring that your creation truly captures the essence of a classic 2CV. In addition to the body, you will be crafting realistic wheels and wheel arches, as well as headlamps, bumpers, and number plates to complete the look. While there is some sewing involved, the final result will be a beautifully lifelike 2CV car that you can be proud of.

This delightful car is knitted using 4-ply yarn; I personally utilized a combination of Patons Diploma 4-ply and MillaMia Merino for my sample cars, which gives a soft and luxurious finish. For this project, you will require two sizes of needles: 3.25mm for the main sections to ensure a sturdy structure, and 2.25mm double-pointed needles for some of the intricate smaller components. By following these instructions, you'll not only enjoy the process of knitting but also create a stunning homage to a classic vehicle. Dive into this playful and rewarding project and bring your own Henrietta to life!
