SIZES

This knitting pattern offers three sizes: 1 (2, 3). The finished circumference measures 41.5 (46, 50.5) cm / 16.25 (18, 19.75)”, and the finished length is 19 (19.5, 20) cm / 7.5 (7.75, 7.75)”. To achieve the best fit, it is recommended to wear the finished piece with 4-8 cm / 1.75-3.25” of negative ease. Please note that Malte, the model, wears a size 2 for reference.

YARN

For this lovely project, we recommend using Mominoki German Merino yarn, which is a worsted-weight, 100% Merino wool that comes with a length of 220 metres / 241 yards per 100g skein. The yarn requirements for each color are as follows:

• MC (Main Color): 65 (75, 90) metres / 71 (82, 99) yards (shown in Natural Grey 30)
• CC1 (Contrasting Color 1): 45 (50, 55) metres / 50 (55, 61) yards (shown in Onion Gold 20)
• CC2 (Contrasting Color 2): 35 (40, 45) metres / 39 (44, 50) yards (shown in Indigo Navy 15)

These yarn amounts are for the version with a single brim and without a pom pom. If you decide to add a pom pom or choose a different brim option, please keep in mind that you will need slightly more yarn for the main color.

GAUGE

The ideal gauge for this project is 20 stitches and 28 rounds per 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 inches). This gauge is achieved when working in the round using stranded colorwork on larger needles, after blocking. Proper gauge is essential to ensure the right fit and overall appearance of your finished piece.
